We thought that this title was unimprovable but the modding community proved us wrong yet again. Super Mario 64 is the most influential and amazing N64 game. For crying out loud, it is truly legendary and the first 3D Mario game that we got our hands-on.
I am awestruck by the effort they put into it. Recently, I started hacking for Nintendo’s Classic Super Mario 64. Super Mario 64 is a platformer that’s undoubtedly one of the most popular in Nintendo’s library. But they survive thanks to the love and support of all their creators. Nintendo is well-known for its hard work with Super Mario 64 ROM hacking communities. 1-UP mushrooms are replaced by Comet Medals.I have always been impressed with the dedication of those who create mods and hacks for their favourite games. It’s created by fans for fans and it’s beautiful. The game has no life counter, since the player has infinite lives. When the 135 first stars have been collected, green coins will appear in every main course, allowing access to the final 15 stars and the true ending of the game. These NPCs give tips to the player or contribute to the game's lore.Īll of the game's levels can be accessed right from the start, as doors no longer require stars or keys. Enemies and bosses have been removed from levels, and there are a lot more NPCs than in the base game. They replace Star Road's golden stars, are placed in different locations, and are often harder to reach. The hack contains 150 stars, of which 15 can only be accessed after the other 135 have been collected. It follows Super Mario Galaxy 2's concept of Green Stars, which are placed in tricky locations in already existing levels. It was released in January 2021, and is based on Super Mario Star Road. Super Mario Star Road: The Green Comet is a hack made by biobak. The comet has dropped green stars all over the different worlds, and Mario must now go back and explore the locations of Star Road again to beat a variety of new challenges.
